Tee Time: 10am to 3pm
Cost: €280 a team of four, includes Round of Golf -meal and goodie bag
Time: Allow 4 hours for the 18 holes
Rules:
Golf Scramble (What is a golf scramble?)- 4 Person team event
- 1/10th of combined handicaps
- Each player must have 3 drives recorded
Prizes:
Lots of Prizes, including Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive
Auction:
Signed sporting photo’s, 2 tickets Premier Level to all Ireland football final between Cork and Down and other items
On the Day
When you arrive at Beechpark Golf Club (directions here) go straight to the registration table where you will be given a goodie bag and golf hat. Your tee off time and hole will be confirmed and full rules and record card will be provided.
You can rent a pull golf trolly and electric carts from the golf shop. After you finish your 18 holes you are free to use the excellent showering facilities before joining us for a 3 course meal and a chance to blag about your game.
After the meal we will announce the much coveted overall winning teams and also announce the winners of the longest drive and nearest the pin.
Dress Code and Essential Equipment
Although this is a relaxed event golf clubs still has some simple rules covering dress code and equipment. Although it is possible to rent equipment we recommend you bring the following
- Golf clubs – minimum of putter, pitch and your favourite club but recommend bring a full bag
- Golf shoes
- Long trousers – below knee shorts also allowed
- Golf shirt and layers – it can get cold fast
- Water proof gear – weather can change fast
- Food – we provide a goodie bag but recommend you eat before you play as you need to fuel a lot of walking and swinging
- Plentiful supply of golf balls – lots of water hazards and we like to keep the game moving fast and scramble discourages long searches in the undergrowth for favourite luck ball
Ethos
Although we do reward the best team and there is always healthy competition between players the CASA Golf Classic is also designed to allow less experienced golfers to have a really enjoyable day out. We promote an ethos of encouragement, camaraderie, inclusiveness and fun.
